At The Gwen Does Stuff Project, we believe that adventure should be accessible to every child—especially those who face the greatest challenges. Born from the story of one incredible little girl and her love for the outdoors, our nonprofit exists to help medically fragile children and their families experience the joy of nature through safe, adaptive, and meaningful adventures. We provide grants for specialized equipment like off-road strollers, ramps, swings, and pool lifts—tools that make the outdoors a little more accessible, and a lot more magical.
For families of children with complex medical conditions, traditional outings can be filled with roadblocks. Whether it’s the cost of adaptive gear, the lack of mobility-friendly spaces, or simply not knowing where to start, too many families are left out of the adventures that so many take for granted. Our mission is to change that—one trail, park, and splash at a time. We’re not here to offer just one big moment or wish. We’re here to help build a lifestyle of inclusion, discovery, and joy that can be revisited again and again.
The Gwen Does Stuff Project is deeply rooted in community. We focus on local families because we want to walk alongside them—not just once, but for the long haul. We offer more than funding—we offer guidance, partnership, and heartfelt connection. Our team is made up of dedicated volunteers and board members who know this journey personally. We’re family-run, 100% volunteer-powered, and driven by lived experience and love—not overhead.
